Even more than 30 years after the reunification of Germany this borderless borderland still exists between the two former German states. The once strictly guarded border divided two opposite political views and economic systems and the world of every citizen on both sides ended there for decades. After the reunification this area became the geographical center of Germany and the two societies had to be merged, especially there. This unique history has formed the people as well as their environment since then into a special society. This work tries to compile a topography of this social landscape.
